The Kings Head was situated on the B390. It closed in 2009.

This grade-II listed pub closed in 2020 during the Covid Pandemic. It reopened on 18 June 2025 after residents formed the Chitterne Community Pub Group and raised £400k to purchase it. It is now due to appear in the Good Beer Guide in 2027 15 months after reopening.ls , so obviously used by some form of cult.
