My aunt Eileen & Tony Smith used to own this pub. I came up to the pub
as a nipper for big family gatherings mostly at Christmas. I remember
all the kids sleeping on the floor upstairs & hearing/feeling the noise
of the piano and the singing coming up from the pub downstairs. I used
to help my uncle bring up bottles of beer etc from the cellar to restock
the shelves the morning after a big night in the pub. Fun times. |
