Listed building details:
A single frontage, a modern shop front being let into the former public house. C18, ashlar, 3 storeys. Doorway with simple pediment on moulded brackets. Segmental arch to Kendall's Yard on the right. 4 windows each upper floor, with glazing bars removed, one window of 2 lights, all with plain reveals.

Colin Dunne	1950s/1960s	It had a back-bar that was sealed off, with not outside windows or doors. Ideal for after-hours service, which was much appreciated by the clientele. The landlord was Jack Barnard, an ex-Rugby League player, which guaranteed no trouble, and his wife the blond Bess was admired (from afar: see previous note about husband.) The pub was closed down, I never knew why, and the Barnards moved up Wharfedale where they ran a pub in Appletreewick.
