The Black Swan Inn was situated at 17 Market Place. This grade-II listed pub closed in 1984 and is now in retail use. Publican in 1893 was Elizabeth Lee, in 1851, 1861 and 1871 John Lee,  in 1881 Elizabeth Lee (who died there in 1895).
