The Red Cow was situated at 56 Star Road, closing in 2009. This grade-II listed pub originally opened in 1830.
 
The Red Cow has now reopened as a pub

Listed building details:
Mid C18, altered and modernized. 2 storeys. Brick, modern tile roof with part catslide and modern extensions to rear. 2 ridge chimneys. 4 bays, 2 light casements. Central modern door and porch. Further door to right. Stone half-figure of Nelson removed from porch since previous list.
