The Falcon was situated at 119, later
120 High Street. The original Falcon dates to 1747 or earlier. It
has an 18 th century front on a16th century timber frame. In February, 1923,
the Uxbridge Brewster Sessions gave approval for The Falcon to move from 119
High Street to larger premises next door at 120. The move took place in
1924. After being renamed, in October 1984 the pub reopened as The
Continental. The new publican had moved from the White Horse. It later
became a night club, then a so called Gentleman’s Club (Spearmint Rhino),
and then a night club again. |

The sign of The Falcon now shows us that John
Leake is the landlord, who also combines the business of pork butcher. |
