The Royal Oak was situated at 13 Richmond Road. This pub was rebuilt in the 1900s on the site of an original 1635 pub named The Glass and Bottle, the Royal Oak, despite having undergone a six-figure-sum refurbishment in 2024 closed in 2026 because of rising costs. It only ever made a profit on Rugby International days. The Stonegate group has sold the premises to become a restaurant.
