Name Dates Comments Steve Bretherton 1979-1980 My brother John and his wife Anne were managers there for a year whilst white reads were trying to find a tenant I worked there as a bar man and got to know all the regulars over this period Johnny Ramone mid-late 1990s The 'Govnor' there heard us in the Turkey on Turkey Street one night - liked our kind of music and booked us on a regular basis. Our act was called Phoenix USA at the time - later Abby & Johnny. Fabulous audiences always.
