1960s/1970s |
My uncle, John Major, with his wife June, was the
publican at the Wilton Arms, Fulham around the 1960s to maybe into the
1980s. John was a big man! I can remember visiting them when I was a
child, and being sat on a bar stool in the corner, and when the doors
opened, the customers would crowd round me incase it was a policeman.
John and June had had a son and daughter, John and Daphne. Daphne had a
hair salon nearby. |

I worked as a live in, full time barman
while on my OE from New Zealand. The manager at the time was Ken
Heaseman and his wife Barbara. |
