This pub had a good darts team and lots of people from the bus garage
used to go there for a drink. |

My parents were the landlords of
this pub in the mid 50's my Dad, William Wright and Mum, Audrey Wright.
I remember having a street party right up Walmer St. for the Coronation
in 1956.We lived above the premises and on Saturday nights there was
always a sing-a-long in the bar. Upstairs there was a 'club room' for
various meetings and then we lived above that. |
