Gerard Matthews	c1963	My parents were the landlords of the Butchers Arms. Mrs Rosh Matthews and Mr Benny Matthews. The pub was a Courage and Barclay one. Both my parents are now dead and I myself went to school at St William of York on brewery road. Next door to the pub at that time was a taxi garage
