The landlord and landlady were Martin and Winnie Goonan and it was a
busy busy pub very Irish in flavour I lived opposite at 139 Liverpool rd
and worked many times behind the bar on a casual basis. I remember giant
Irish workers on the jubilee line who drank copious amounts of beer but
sang like angels if persuaded to give us a song. for context Baker
Street played non stop on the juke box and the pool table if it could
speak …. |
