The White Horse was situated at 473 Roman
Road.
This was a Watney’s Brewery pub,
established here by 1872. It closed in around 1992 and was in retail use
for a while, before reopening in 1996 as the Lounge Bar. This venture never
seemed very successful and by 2005 the pub had been converted to a pizza
takeaway. |
