Three Kings

The Three Kings was situated on Saltersway. This pub closed in 2023.

From Lincolnshire Heritage:
Early 18th century public house, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations and/or additions. Above an archway is a carved stone inscribed 'The Three Kings Inn' with painted busts of 3 kings together with the date AD 869 (which refers to the legendary battle).
Various local traditions are attached to this pub which apparently contains (or at least, is believed to contain) some remnants of an earlier structure. It is said that King John stayed at the pub and the bedroom where he stayed was still shown to visitors in 1958. There is also a tradition that Robin Hood favoured the inn.
The Three Kings Inn (Three Kings Inn), Threekingham. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Dispersed clustered plan. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a hamlet.
