From Lincolnshire Heritage:
Former public house. The earliest phase of the building dates to some point between 1792 and 1887. It consists of a single range, single storey stone building, under a pitched gabled tile roof with one ridge stack. Little of the internal fabric remains to allow for interpretation of its use, but given its form and location it is suggested to be some sort of outbuilding for a nearby farm. The west gable elevation has a large blocked entranceway, which supports this interpretation. The brickwork of the chimney is not modern, so it is possible that at some point prior to the building's conversion that it had a domestic function. A small extension was built in sympathetic style to the east. This extension originally had a small doorway in the north elevation, though this has since been blocked and replaced with a small 12 light casement window. At some point between 1950 and 1956 a large extension was built to the north during the conversion to a public house. This two storey extension was built of concrete blocks, with hanging tile cladding at first floor level, under a pantile roof. The roof is flat in the centre, with steep slopes towards the north and south elevations. In 2022, the 1950s extension was demolished, revealing the original gabled roof of the first phase of the building.
