From Lincolnshire Heritage |
|
The Eagle Hotel was opened in 1865 and was
intended to cater to railway users. The Mablethorpe train station was
intially going to be located close to the Eagle Hotel but was eventually
constructed in 1978 next to the High Street. It was a very large building
for a small village, with 74 rooms. The building would gradually be reduced
in size until the 1920s. The hotel now operates as a public house. The
building was constructed of brick which has since been covered with yellow
render. |
