The Packet Tavern was situated at 28 King Street. This pub was present by 1849 when the publican was Nathaniel Chapman.

From NE Lincolnshire Heritage:
A public house marked on the ordnance survey 1906-8 25 inch to 1 mile maps. Recorded as the Packet Tavern in a directory of 1890. The Chas Dawson directory of 1877 records W. Bee 'Cash Collector and E. Cragg 'Packet Inn' at 26 King Street.
