The Old Kings Head was situated at 73 Victoria Street. The publican in 1901 and 1919 was Jolland Chapman, who sold his building firm and sawmill in 1900 to buy the pub.

A public house marked on Ordnance Survey maps of 1887-9. Recorded in the 1877 Chas Dawson Directory and the 1906 trade directory.
