The Blue Dog was situated at 10 Watergate. This 18th century grade-II listed pub was present by 1819 and closed in 1858. It is now in retail use.

18th century stone building, formerly the Blue Dog public house, now a shop with modern shop fronts.
Listed building details:
Formerly Blue Dog P.H, C18, stone, three storey bands between storeys, parapet, three windows with flush frames and glazing bars under flat arches; archway with segmental head on left of ground floor. Modern shop fronts.
