|
A public house dating from the late 18th
century which is four-storeys high with a tiled roof and a rebuilt parapet.
The front was rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century in gault brick.
The public house is recorded in the licensing renewal list of 1784. during
the 19th century it also operated as an import and wholsale business, with
some of the buildings to the rear of the public house associated with this
business being converted to flats. |

Public house. Early C19. Gault brick
with tiled roof and rebuilt parapet.
Exterior: 4-storey, 2-bay front with plinth, stone sill bands. To the front
2 plain sashes to each floor, decreasing in size above 1st floor, with flat
wedge brick arches. The Still Lane return, a pedimented doorcase with
moulded shouldered surround and dentilled cornice. At 1st floor level a
bowed window and ornamental sign bracket. |
