Dukes Head

 


The Dukes Head was situated on Duke Street. The publican in 1896 was H Skipworth, in 1919 Julian Robert.
This Soames Brewery pub was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949. Closed on 20th March 1964 and subsequently demolished.

From: Lincolnshire Heritage Explorer:
A purpose-built mid-19th century public house whose earliest reference is dated to 1858 and was closed in 1964. It was demolished shortly after this as part of clearance of this area of Boston. The building was built of brick and two storeys high with a slate hipped roof. The public house was located on a corner plot of Duke Street and Broadfield Street with entrances on both streets
