The Hour Glass was situated on Leeds Road. |

Growing up I could see this pub out of the front
window and it was never empty. I remember watching the dogs playing up on
the top in the summer when I was a child. |

I was a relief manager for Bass Inns
and Taverns and carried out holiday management cover here in mid 1991. The
Bar was well managed, successful with a great team of staff led by Steve and
Babs. I remember a member of staff who was formerly with the teen 70s band
Our Kid who was a popular local character. |
