The
Lord Nelson was situated at 85 New Road.
This pub was established by 1528 and
previously went by the names Fleur
de Luce and Marquis of Granby.
It had become the Lord Nelson by the early nineteenth century and was
rebuilt in its present form in 1876. The pub closed in 1983 and now houses
a McDonalds restaurant. |
