The Kent Arms was situated on the corner of Jeffrey Street and James Street. This was a Watneys pub in the 1970s and 1980s, and is now used as a Chinese takeaway. Known as The Pub at time of closure in the 1990s.  Publican from 1965 to 1969 was Arthur Tipple.
