The Forge & Ferry was situated on Ferry Lane,
closing in 2001. Previously known as the Highland Home and the Flamenco, it
is now a private residence. |

My grandparents and dad ran this
pub when it was the Flamenco, ( I am pretty sure they gave it the name as
they had been living in Venezuela) and then the Forge and Ferry. Jack and
Elsie Peck and Michael Peck my dad. I grew up there and was heart broken to
see it so different on a visit for a school reunion in 2004. |

My parents, David and Pam ran this pub when I was just starting school,
lived there with my brother Callum and our dog, Forgie. Remember my
brother seeing a ghost in the living accommodation. |
