S Millar 1959-1967 My parents used to run this pub. It used to belong to Plymouth Breweries in those days. They had a well-run pub and was always busy.Too many different businesses owned The Queens, this was its downfall. I think my parents would climb back in their graves if they knew what happened.
Alex Liddle 2001-2003 Used to drink in this atmospheric old pub when I was a student at Dartington College of Arts. Did a nice pint of Flowers IPA in there. I remember it started to go down hill when it was taken over by a middle-aged couple in 2003ish. I suppose drink-driving laws also contributed to its downfall. Sad as it was a lovely old pub in a beautiful location.
Pauline Bailey 1969 My Mother and Father-in-Law ran this pub in 1969 but I can’t remember for how long. My son was born that year and we took him there when he was 10 days old.
