The Wing Half was situated on
Alnwick Drive. This pub was named after ex-Manchester City footballer, Joe
Mercer, who was born in Ellesmere Port. It closed in 2010. Partly converted
into flats, but subsequently became derelict, leading to its demolition in
2023.
