Name Dates Comments Alan Woodley 1968/1971 A customer during my student years at Sidney Sussex College. Having spent three very enjoyable years between 1968 and 1971, I am pleased to report that some of the enjoyment was provided by spending a few (!) happy hours in the Volunteer. It was a small, cosy public house, typical of that era, having a similarly typical landlord with very much a 'hail and farewell' manner. Despite being a regular, I cannot now remember his name.
